Let’s Do Lunch

From time to time it’s good to give your chef inspired kitchen a break. Luckily, when you live at The Poet, if you’re in the mood to have someone else do the cooking, there are a number of amazing restaurants to choose from. Let’s take a look at some of the diverse dining options nearby that are available to The Poet residents.

This beautifully revamped hotel has four different restaurants to choose from. Each with its own vibe, menu, and unique attributes. The Rooftop Bar has a one-of-a-kind view of the Toronto skyline and Don River that makes dining here more than just the meal. However, that meal is incredible in its own right. Start with a shareable charcuterie board for the table filled with seasonal, local meats and cheeses before indulging in something for yourself. The pork tacos will melt in your mouth with the perfect combination of pineapple, cilantro and crema to complement the meat. The sights, sounds, and tastes at the Broadview Hotel are amazing and complement each other perfectly.

If you’re looking for something a little more sophisticated and a lot more Italian, head to Ascari Enoteca. Designed with simple décor to allow you to focus on the flavours, this restaurant has a wonderfully innovative menu to go along with a well-matched wine list. Start with the most perfect octopus and red wine terrine topped with olives and zesty bites of orange to wake up your palate before enjoying a noodle course. The agnolotti, filled with cauliflower and escarole, in leek broth is just one of a number of incredible pasta options for you to choose from. There are no wrong choices when you dine at Ascari Enoteca.

When you’re out for a night on the town, there’s no better place to start than at Goods and Provisions. This elevated dive bar has the atmosphere you’ll love with a menu of great fusion items to match. Start your meal off with some Mexican-Asian fusion where fish tacos are paired with a fiery kimchee that will have you going back for more. Pair that with a robust seared P.E.I. beef steak, which is topped with a knob of nori infused butter, for your main, and you might decide to forgo the rest of your night and just enjoy the sights and sounds that surround you.

This is just a taste of the amazing restuarants that surround The Poet. There’s plenty more you can explore for dessert!
